Value Chain Analysis

MZI Global strives to help clients excel in activities directly linked to achieving competitive advantage.  Our Value Chain Analysis assists in identifying activities best undertaken by a business and those best provided by others ("out sourced") to determine our clients’ competitive strength.  Whether clients seek differentiation through higher quality or cost leadership, we identify the best usage of available resources.  Our analysis includes evaluation of both primary activities (those directly concerned with creating and delivering a product) and support activities (although not directly involved in production, may increase effectiveness or efficiency).

MZI Global Value Chain Approach:

  • Break down a market/organization into key activities,
  • Assess the potential for adding value via cost advantage or differentiation, or identify current activities where a business appears to be at a competitive disadvantage;
  • Determine strategies that sustain competitive advantage via Ethnosynergism®.
    (For more see Micro-Segmentation section)

This tool describes the activities that take place in a business and relates them to an analysis of the competitive strength of the business. The chain consists of a series of activities that create and build value for the business. They culminate in the total value delivered by an organization. Typically, the activities of a business could be grouped under two headings:

  • Primary Activities - those that are directly concerned with creating and delivering a product
  • Support Activities, which whilst they are not directly involved in production, may increase effectiveness or efficiency
Value Chain Analysis is one way of identifying which activities are best undertaken by a business and which are best provided by others ("out sourced"). By undertaking such an analysis for our clients MZI Global helps them to build their competitive advantage.
