MZI Global Presents Asian Couture Circa 1960 France and Bohemian Feministic Expressions
Early ‘60s fashion will be donning the runway at the NYC Couture Fashion Week event at the Waldorf Astoria this September 10th - September 12th, presented by MZI Global. Designers Jeone Mi Young and Hee Deuk have created a new level of fashion that fuses Asian influence and 1960s French feminine styles with modern trends.
NEW YORK—MZI Global presents its 8th semi-annual Couture Fashion Week event—Friday, Sept. 10 to Sunday, Sept. 12—as a compliment to Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. The three-day fashion event will host runway shows at the Grand Ballroom at the Waldorf Astoria featuring renowned designers from around the globe, as well as its Korean Collective Runway Show, fine arts displays, and entertainment .Playing with Pastels
Korean designers Jeone Mi Young and Hee Deuk will be celebrating a fusion of Asian influence. Lilycomes by Jeone Mi Young is applying melancholy pastels that represent the elegance of the 60s on raw Asian fabrics such as chiffon silk and jacquard. Her French-inspired moulage applications seek to set the stage for individualism. Mint blue, pastel green, and pink paint vivid pictures of romantic feminism, giving her S/S 2011 collection a soft, untouched feel that reinterprets the classic designs of Genevieve in “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” with the use of subtle coloring and elegant designs that are fit for a day at the office or evening dinner.

He introduces a new angle to everyday fashion that allows women to express their renaissance lifestyles while traveling, gallery hopping and cocktailing.
This fall’s fashion designers such as Versace and Louis Vuitton are spinning the emperor’s new clothes circa 1960—a decade split between classic, prim elements in the early 60s that clashed the mod miniskirts of the late 60s. And world-renowned designers are modeling their ladylike silhouettes after the 50s-fashion spillover into the early 60s by following its elegant trends with full-figured gowns and skirts. Similarly, Lilycomes is modeling her line after the beloved “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” and following suit with reinterpreted classics.
